Security Bond

DEFINITION
A security bond is a S$5,000 guarantee the employer must furnish to the Ministry of Manpower for each non-Malaysian Work Permit holder, ensuring compliance with pass conditions. It is a bond between the employer and the government. By law the employer cannot recover it from, or ask for it from, the worker.
