Quota (Foreign Worker Quota)
foreign worker quota • quota entitlement
DEFINITION
The foreign worker quota is the limit on how many Work Permit and S Pass holders a firm may employ, set by its sector’s Dependency Ratio Ceiling and its local headcount. Quota is recalculated as local headcount changes, so it can rise or fall month to month. Exceeding it blocks renewals and new hires.
