CPF — Central Provident Fund
central provident fund • CPF
DEFINITION
The Central Provident Fund (CPF) is Singapore’s mandatory savings scheme for citizens and permanent residents, funded by employer and employee contributions. Foreign workers on Work Permits, S Passes and Employment Passes do not receive CPF. It matters here because CPF records are how the Ministry of Manpower verifies local headcount for quota. (Confirm current contribution scope.)
