LQS — Local Qualifying Salary
local qualifying salary • quota headcount
DEFINITION
The Local Qualifying Salary (LQS) is the minimum monthly salary a local employee must earn to count towards your firm’s foreign-worker quota. Locals earning the full LQS count as one; those earning at least half count as half. It ensures locals are employed meaningfully, not as token headcount.
